About Us

Safehouse is the College and 20's (Singles) ministry of First Baptist Church in Universal City.

 

We exist to offer young adults a place to join with others of like faith as they grow in the likeness of our Lord.  Safehouse provides the opportunity for members to grow: (1) in faith: through weekly Bible studies,  (2) in relationship: through group events and (3) in outreach: through regular mission activity.   

-Salvation is a gift of God, through Jesus + and - nothing.  He is the only path to forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

 

-God sends His Holy Spirit to live in and seal those who are genuine recipients of salvation.

 

-Immersion Baptism is a symbol of salvation and obedience; to be observed after a person has experienced salvation.

 

-Believers are to grow in their knowledge of God through regular time in the Bible, which is the infallible, only Word of God.

 

-Being a committed part of the Church is an essential part of living in right relationship with God and experiencing spiritual growth.

 

-Speaking to God regularly in Prayer is an important element and amazing privelage for the believer.

 

-We, as disciples of Christ are to be serious about making other disciples through personal and group Evangelism.
